How to Levitate?

If this is your first time using magnetic levitation products, you may need to attempt a few times first before succeeding. However, once you succeed, it only gets easier!

  • STEP 1:

    Power On - Place the base on a flat, horizontal surface, and plug it to an electrical socket.

  • STEP 2:

    Find The Balance Point - The magnetic balance point is right under the upper center of the base. Hold the speaker at the distance of around 1.5cm right below this area.

  • STEP 3:

    Release - When you feel like you have reached the balance point, you can begin to gently release. If the speaker floats - congratulations! You've done it! If the speaker falls or is caught by the upper center of the base, simply start over from step 2.

FAQs

What if the base malfunctions and the speaker is unable to levitate?

In the beginning, it may take more than one try to get it to levitate. With patience and the right technique, you should be able to do it with no problem! Make sure the power is on, and place the speaker near the center of the platform. You should feel the resistance of the magnets in the base. Lighten your grip, and when you feel that it’s not pulling to a certain side, slowly let go. Once it’s levitating, you can rotate it in whatever direction you'd like. Practice makes perfect!

What if I can't get it to levitate?

Make sure that you are placing the base on a horizontal surface and that it is plugged in. If you cannot successfully levitate the speaker after a few tries, take the UFO off the base and remove the power adaptor from the base for 5 minutes. Then, try again.

Does the UFO spin continuously? 

It can spin for a long time in any direction (clockwise or counterclockwise). You may need to give the speaker a slight push to start the rotation.

Can it levitate if the base is off?

No, it is only able to levitate when the base is on. However, you can carry it around as a portable speaker and take your music with you anywhere.

Will the speaker work with Kindle too?

Yes, you can use the AUX cord to plug it into Kindle.

How do you use the speakerphone?

Pair your phone to Nebula via Bluetooth. Once paired, you can take or reject phone calls, talk to your smart assistant, and more.

What happens if it loses power? Will it fall? 

The base has to be connected to an outlet for the speaker to levitate. But, since it is magnetic, it will stick onto the magnet above and not fall on the floor.

What is the sound quality like?

Since the speaker has a circular design and rotates continuously, it allows music to be played more efficiently compared to regular front-sided speakers. The sound quality is very good for the size, with crisps highs, clear midranges, and some bass. The speaker is loud enough to fill up a room, and the sound does not get distorted even at high volumes.
